'Scrapbooking'

That's what we tell our husbands we're doing every first Friday of the month. That's how this whole thing started. Scrapbooking was the sole purpose we all shared at first. Each lady would bring bags, boxes, filing containers to the church, set up a large table and start scrapping to heart's content. Each month, less scrapping and more giggling occurred. Each month, we were stitched closer together. Each month, the conversation grew more deep.
I have learned to really rely on all the women I share the first Friday of every month with. From this seemingly single purposed group sprouted some kind of morph into beautiful friendships that I truly cherish. Last night was another 'scrapbooking night'. Although we were all there for a different purpose now- sewing, updating the address book, stopping by just to chat- the sisterhood in the room was strong. I had a fabulous time laughing and talking, carrying on about joys and woes of the world and our lives.
As I sit at my computer with a slight headache from a late night, I know that the trade off is worth it. The grumpy Saturday morning mommy is most definitely worth the fun Friday night chick. I am so grateful to have friends that can and will be there to help me cry through the hard times and smile through the bliss. What a blessing I have to have one day of the month for 'scrapbooking', even if I haven't cropped a picture in ages.

I wasn't part of the 'scrapbooking' long, but that is one of the things I miss most about Napa. I always felt welcome there even though I didn't know everyone.

I love it too, I wish I could go every month.

I was thinking about a comment you made last night....."tell me when she comes so i can look cute"

The more I thought about that comment the more I wanted to tell you....you could be in cut off jeans, a stained T shirt with holes in it, and you could be smelly but because you're steph, you're always going to be the cutest in the room. Your so funny, so creative, so cute, so thoughtful, so everything. Okay so now that I write it,stop being so gosh darn perfect.
Love ya Steph!!

It really is such a highlight in every month, we love you and scrap night wouldn't be anything like it is if you weren't there. I had the best time too last night, I was on a high and could sleep for like an hour after getting home. it's so fun to just be giggly girls, relax and not have a care in the world for a few hours :) love it!

Friday was so much fun and I think that it was extra fun because we haven't had one in a while.

Oh and by the way it worked. ;-) Thanks to you and Carla.
